Tutorial – touch points

A Tracking Report helps review the activities your fundraising staff did in the previous month and projects their workload for the following months.  This case study illustrates how to analyze a sample tracking report.  This report covers foundations. There would similar reports for corporations and major givers.

Points to discuss with staff:

  • January was a good month.  All activities were accomplished and an additional donation was received.  Gently ask if there are any new patterns from the 6 declines
  • February has a large renewal upcoming.  Review the status of the renewal.
  • March will be busy emailing out the quarterly newsletter.  Ensure staff have enough resources.
