About you

Any time a marketer gets a job in a new industry, you are oriented by your new boss and marketing peers.  But as a volunteer, you will have to learn on your own.  This orientation section contains the same information that a new employee would obtain from their marketing peers.  It contains the statistics you need, and the soft stuff — the things that everyone does but no one talks about.  This section is written by a marketer for a marketer.

This website focuses on how to develop a relationship with a nonprofit for a specific project.  Act like a consultant.  Make sure you are given an initial contract;  the project close form will quantify results you can put on your resume.  One big aspect of being a consultant is not discussed in this website –  how to attract new business.  See suggested reading.
